With 11 Herbs And Spices
There are many recipes online that try to duplicate the great
taste of Colonel Sanders tasty treats.
- Use shortening versus vegetable oil, it does a better job at
cooking the chicken.
- Use a seasoned flour to coat the chicken before frying.
Remember those 11 herbs and spices are in the flour and are important.
Adjust the recipe as you see fit, tweaking ingredients, until your
happy with the results.
3 cups sifted flour
1 tsp. paprika
2 tsp.garlic salt
2 tsp.onion salt
1 tsp.dried oregano
1 tsp.dried rubbed sage
1/2 tsp. dried powdered rosemary
1/2 tsp. dried powdered thyme
1 tsp.dried parsley
1 tsp.table salt
1 tsp. ground black pepper
Combine all ingredients. Double coat the chicken for extra crispy
flavor and texture.
Makes 31/2 cups of seasoned flour

SOUTHERN FRIED CHICKEN
Ingredients
1 frying chicken, remove skin if you want less
fat.
3 tsps. Lawry's Seasoned Salt
2 garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 cup flour
1 cup vegetable oil
Prepare
1. Season chicken with all seasonings.
2. Roll chicken in flour until covered. Shake off
excess flour. Sprinkle additional seasoning.
3. Simply fry chicken in frying pan until golden
brown. For extra crispy cook it a little longer.
Start out with very hot oil and then reduce it after searing. This seals in the moisture
and
flavor.
